Welcome to the Sweeeeeetz FAQ page. Here you’ll find answers to some of our most commonly asked questions.
Do you make personalised party sweet cones?
Absolutely! You can order directly through our website. Once your order is placed, just message us with your preferred sweets, themes, or colours, and we’ll create cones that perfectly match your celebration.
How long will the American candy last?
All American candy and packaged goods come with expiry dates of at least three months. Pick & Mix sweets, when stored in a sealed container away from sunlight, stay fresh for up to six months — though we suspect they’ll be enjoyed much sooner! 😋
Do you ship drinks and sweets together?
Sometimes drinks and cans are shipped separately from food items. Couriers usually group parcels so they arrive together, but occasionally deliveries may come on different days.
Do you provide allergen information?
Yes – allergen details are listed on each product page and summarised in your order receipt. If you have specific concerns, please contact us before ordering. We take care to avoid cross-contamination, but cannot guarantee it completely, so please exercise caution if you have severe allergies.
How is the food packaged and protected?
All food is prepared in a 5★ Food Standards Agency-rated premises with strict hygiene standards. Sweets are individually wrapped and vacuum-packed. For build-a-jar or platter orders, sweets are loose-filled for a fun, mix-and-match experience.
Can you stock a sweet that’s not listed?
We’ll do our best! Some sweets are discontinued, but if they’re still produced, we’ll try to source them for you – or suggest a tasty alternative.
How are the sweets packaged for delivery?
Each order is carefully wrapped and shipped in plain cardboard boxes to keep your treats safe and secure.
Which courier do you use?
We use Hermes, Royal Mail, and UPS, depending on your order’s size and weight. You’ll receive a tracking number and estimated delivery date once your parcel leaves our shop.
Do you have a Food Standards Agency rating?
Yes! We proudly hold a 5★ rating from Central Bedfordshire Council, awarded in May 2022.
What is your returns policy?
We want you to be 100% happy with your order. If anything arrives damaged or below standard, contact us right away — we’ll replace or refund it promptly.
Do you offer a monthly subscription service?
Yes! You can subscribe to receive regular sweet deliveries. Click the link at the top of our website for details and sweet surprises every month.
Do you deliver internationally?
Not at the moment – customs charges and shipping delays make it impractical. We hope to offer international delivery in the future once conditions improve.
Can we collect orders in person?
Of course! We’re a high street shop and love seeing our customers face-to-face. Drop by anytime — we’d be delighted to serve you in person.
Machine Hire FAQs
Can you provide an attendant?
Yes. Attendants are available at £10 per hour. If you are hiring multiple machines, you may wish to consider having two attendants. They will arrive smartly dressed in our black shirt uniform (summer) or black fleece uniform (winter).
Is a deposit required?
For self‑serve hires, a refundable deposit of £200 per machine is required upon delivery or collection. This can be secured by card swipe or cash. For hires with an attendant, no deposit is required.
Is training provided?
Yes. The machines are straightforward to operate. We will demonstrate how they work either at our shop (for collections) or at your event (for deliveries). We also provide helpful instructional videos upon booking.
How long is each hire?
Hire prices cover up to 24 hours. The cost is the same whether you use the machine for 2 hours or 20 hours.
How much product is included?
Each machine comes with enough raw product for approximately 150 servings. Additional supplies can be purchased at low cost. Note: The hot dog stand is hired without any product.
Do you provide tables or stands?
Yes, tables and stands can be provided if required.
Can the machines be used outdoors?
Yes, provided they are under cover (e.g., a gazebo). Machines must not be operated in direct sunlight or rain. They should always be supervised by a competent adult.
Do you provide extension leads?
Not usually, but we can supply them if needed. Please note we do not PAT test extension cables — if your venue requires a PAT‑tested cable, you will need to source one yourself.
How reliable are the machines?
All machines are new as of 2022 and maintained beyond manufacturer recommendations. In the unlikely event of a fault, we will do our best to provide a replacement.
What is your cancellation policy?
Full payment is required at the time of booking.
- Cancellations made 2+ weeks in advance: full refund.
- Cancellations less than 2 weeks before the event: no refund.
Are your staff CRB checked?
Some staff are CRB checked. Certification can be provided upon request, subject to staff availability.
Where can the machines be used?
Unless agreed otherwise in writing, machines may only be used in houses, offices, council or school buildings. Use at festivals, public areas, vehicles, or floats requires prior written permission.
Is special equipment required?
No. Machines come fully equipped and stocked. A standard 240v mains supply or generator is sufficient.
Do I need to clean the machine?
No. We clean and strip down all machines between hires. Please ensure all accessories are returned with the machine.
Is there a delivery/collection charge?
Collection from our shop is free. Delivery and collection costs £20 per booking, regardless of the number of machines hired.
Can you supply more materials during an event?
Possibly, depending on time and opening hours. Please call us and we’ll advise.
Do you provide allergen information?
Yes. Allergen details can be provided verbally or via an allergen sheet. Ingredient lists are also printed on product packaging.
Can a hire be extended?
Usually, yes. Please contact us as soon as possible so we can adjust driver schedules.
Do you arrange décor such as backdrops?
No. We only provide machine hire. Tables and tablecloths can be supplied if required, but we do not offer event design services.
